What this means when choosing a stone

The 2–3 carat band has a median listed total of $568; the 3–4 carat band has a median of $878. These groups mix shapes, color and clarity grades. The difference does not isolate the cost of more carat weight at the same quality.

A ring setting and assembly are separate. Before buying, compare the exact report, available stone image or video, measurements, current price and applicable shipping and return terms. The snapshot does not reserve a stone or promise today’s availability.

Method and limitations

The existing daily index records at most one snapshot per Eastern calendar day from public, available inventory rows catalogued as IGI or GIA with positive price and carat values. It reports minimum and median listed totals and median listed price per carat in fixed carat bands. The source sorts observations and selects the middle observation (the upper middle observation when the count is even), then rounds to whole dollars. These are rounded figures; band totals are not a substitute for each stone’s current checkout price.

Counts describe catalog rows, not transactions or independently audited unique stones. A catalog lab field does not assert that Veyara completed an independent report lookup. Changes in inventory composition can change medians even without any individual stone changing price.

This is a single-date snapshot, not a monthly trend report. The retained history begins August 23, 2026. September was not complete when this snapshot was captured, and no July comparison is available. We do not invent missing history or generalize these figures to the entire diamond market.
